Salamander (BBC4) - Belgian drama about a secretive organisation trying to control the state... quite interesting thus far (to ep 8) In The Flesh (BBC3) - read in SFX that a 2nd (longer) series was screening soon, so thought I'd better catch up. Series 1 was 3 x 1 hour eps. It's kind of a cross between the Walking Dead and Cathy Come Home... gritty, Northern, zombies. And it's bloody good! Gives an interesting twist on the whole zombie thing (and mirrors certain 'phobic sections of society rather neatly). A proper BBC type drama, solid acting and plausible plot/script, decent effects. I like it. DVD/Blu-Ray release for S1 + S2 is towards the end of May. Will be buying!

Watched the BBC4 documentary about the Osaka train crash in 2005. I've got it stored on the hard drive so when I finally get round to it I can put in a disc for someone.
Noodle.

Ah yes... putting punctuality over safety, allied with a harsh, oppressive and humiliating management regime is never a good mix for running a passenger railway... Walking Dead - liking they way they are following each sub-group for a week (now that they's all been split up). Still irked by the occasionally shiny railheads where no trains have run for months, though... Muskateers - meh... we dropped this a few weeks ago for just getting too silly. (like... Atlantis or Da Vinci Demons silly...) Sewing Bee - decent 'reality' TV. I'm trying to persuade Shelley to submit an entry form for the next series - she easily has the sewing skills, but fears she'd swear too much, so any footage would end up being canned... NCIS - Bishop (Agent David's replacement) seems to fit in okay. A bit weird, but in a good way. Geeky, but not outgeeking McGeek. And, of course, Abby. MMMMMmmmmmAbby. Shetland - cracking BBC PlodDrama set on Shetland. About as close as the Beeb could get to Scandinavia. Has the same feel (desolate countryside, close community, jumpers) as the Killing, Wallander, etc.

Now that The Walking Dead is over, I can now happily plough through the second half of it as my Mums been recording it on DVD for me and now it can be finalised for my viewing! Wahoooo. Facebooks already spoilt bits by showing photos but meh, I still don't know the execution of the scenes I kinda regret not being able to find the time to watch The Following and True Detective at my Mums with her as they look good At least Game Of Thrones Season 4 is on sooooooon!

Facebooks already spoilt bits by showing photos but meh, I still don't know the execution of the scenes will catch up on the last ep tonight (we were away all weekend), luckily I've not seen any spoilers I watched the first 2 eps of True Decetive and have the rest recorded to watch. Really good TV. Got a few days off just before Easter, plan to catch up properly with it then. Heard lost of good thaings about The Following, so will check out whats available on catch-up. Meh... that's the one series I've really not been able to get into. But then I didn't much like the books either...

Gah... more train-related nonsense... this time from Agents of Shield...
The alleged Italian train... US EMD F-unit hauling US passenger cars.
/traing33k
And I'm thinking this 2nd half of the season is a bit hit and miss. Actually... more miss than hit :/
Walking Dead... oooh... cliffhanger!

Yeah I think The Following is on Sky as a boxeset so when I'm eventually off work I might go to Mums and record it all. It has Dr Matt from American Gothic as a "bad guy" in it I believe and I always like to see people be cast out of their norm so I'm intrigued. I hope they add True Detective to the boxsets too. I love Woody and Matthew and all the good actors seem to hit tv shows and do amazingly. Never seen House of Cards or Boardwalk Empire but I've heard rave reviews about Spacey and Buscemi and now the same from these too Hoping to finish work at a decent time so I can resume The Walking Dead tonight. Think I got about 4 eps in then stopped seeing as the dvds on;y fit 6 so if I finished it, the wait would of been more excrutating for the second disc to be finalised tonight haha. I have all the GoT books now but I've still held off reading them since I don't want the series spoilt hahahaha.

Wouldnt bother with the following its all flash and hype with little real substance(alao really slow and predictable in places where it is trying to be tense), true detective is however awesome so definitely watch that at your earliest opportunity

Thanks for the tip! I'll see if sky boxsets it I finished The Walking Dead last night! Holy sh*t holy sh*t holy sh*t holy sh&*t!!!! I want Season Five now! I had my suspicions (sp), I'll say that much and yet it surprised me more than them in the best way possible since it wasnt what I expected. Question, do the comics have Terminus in it as in would I potentially spoil some of Season Five if I get to that point in the comics? Game Of Thrones was on this morn! My Mums recording it tonight so I'm going to see if I can watch it tomorrow with her. If due to work etc etc doesn't make it so, I'm potentially gona have to watch it every weekend or, wait until the dvd is full so she can finalise it and I can take it home and blitz the first half of the series in a weekend. Aaaaaaargh dilemma!

watch it as a chunk the show works best in bigger pieces than an hour at a time imo.
