Figured we could use one of these rather than a new thread everytime someone wanted to talk about something
Just watched episode 1-4 of Season 5 of Adventure Time Awesome show, almost every episode is hilarious, but it can pull off emotional moments too (and it can be surprisingly dark at times)

Watched a few eps of Dexter's Lab this afternoon. Ah childhood...those were the days!

Axe Cop episodes 1-5, started off kinda cool but has kind of gone abit stale already which isnt good for a new show based on a really good webcomic.

Started to watch walking dead season 3 so far im upto episode 5 and im already enjoying the changes they made to the story from the comics as it makes things flow alot better and gives the guvner more meat on his crazy bones, also love the way they dealt with the pregnancy as it works alot better than the random way they ended that in the comics.
also been watching King & Maxwell which is a fun little detective show on TNT that recently ended its first season and left me wanting to know more...lets hope TNT dont axe it like they seem to do randomly these days.
Also season 3 of Franklin & Bash has recently ended aswell and was pretty darned good even with heather locklear being added to the mix for some random reason.

Been hooked on the BBC crime thriller/drama 'What Remains' - rather in the vein of Broadchurch and almost as good. Last ep/big reveal next Sun. Ooooh.
Also falling into the same genre is ITVs 3-parter 'The Guilty', though I'm less convinced by this one.
As usual, you get to find out the various characters dark secrets over the unfolding series - Broadchurch and What Remains have nailed this. The Guilty just seems too overdone.

Watched The Wipers Times on BBC2. This was quite a good docudrama about a group of soldiers who during WWI published their newspaper about life in the front line and often furnished the editions with grim humour and biting satire about those who lead them. This was co written by Ian Hislop of Private Eye the modern equivalent of The Wipers Times. The scenes done in black and white are dramatic reconstructions of some of the fake adverts that they published and show some of the grim and dark humour that manifested itself in the horrors of horror. Well worth a watch. Noodle.

I need to catch up on that, as much for the uniforms and kit as for the story. Hopefully, it'll not fall into the trap that BladderFour did in overtly reinforcing the obvious stereotypes and myths - to the point where BladderFour is now seen almost as an accurate documentary on WW1, rather than a satire/parody. Don't get me wrong, BladderFour was easily the best series, full of dark humour, pathos and emotion, but accurate it definitely was not!

I have it recorded on my Freeview/DVD recorder as I'm going to transfer to a disc as it's what I call a keeper, copies can be made if you're interested. Noodle.
