Would give the doctor a reason to find gallifrey if he's gone beyond his alotted regenerations and his new one is unstable, would also hopefulyl mean lots of new noen earth based adventures and some new badguys along the way what with his home beingin a different dimension.

Well... that had the potential to be a lot worse... Personally, I thought that was a better story, executed better than the 50th ep. Okay, so the 'all the enemies' thing has been done before, thankfully they didn't all actually appear. And now we have Capaldi to look forward to  |

Was a nice way to wrap up the arc with the silence and the crack in reality, gotta wonder if moffatt actually knew what the crack was gonna be way back when or if the 50th gave him his get out of plothole free card though lol

Must say I liked that, certainly more than the 50th. The idea that at the end of his 11th (12th... WOTEVAR) reign, The Doctor finds something where he cannot leave and becomes its sole guardian. Maturity found this Doctor, along with wisdom. Certainly my favourite regeneration too, and thought it was Smith's best performance he had ever done. The 'snap' change was also great. I liked it, it's definitely better than the Christmas episodes with Tennent's era.
Only 30 seconds of Capaldi though, whose first lines are a bit too similar to Smith's for me and now we have to wait until August(ish). I liked that 11 took off the bow tie himself, not a casting off of one of his signature pieces of clothing like 5 unraveling the scarf.
(Semi) interesting point: He's the first Doctor to have an Oscar.

Did I really say that....I mean I probably did at some point as it sounds like me ^_^ So barely had the episode finished last night then had this picture surfaced online:  Also lets get this number system out of the way now *clears throat* 1 to 8 are labeled correctly as the right numbers, war doctor which is the 9th Regeneration, 9th Doctor is the 10th Regeneration, 10th is the 11th and 12th Regeneration due to the Doctor Regenerating half way pouring the rest into his spare hand at the end of of series 4 and finally the 11th Doctor is the 13th Doctor. So the new Doctor is the 14th but everyone will be calling him the 12th and to be honest the whole number system doesn't really matter a whole lot so I'm filing this under the Tamzarian effect. Principal Skinner: That's a cheat.
Lisa: I guess you're right, Principal Tamzarian.

So, yeah, back tonight at 19:50. New Doctor an' all. Security has been appalling on this season as apparently up to episode 5 have been leaked online. Also apparently episode 4 ( {Spoiler}Listen ) is phenomenal. Up there with Blink. |
