Lightning Returns on PS3 Just came off a 10 hour sitting and didn't want to put my controller down. I did almost rage quit after a few hours as it's not for simple people I quite enjoy dressing up, and we all know that cat ears make everything ok

I finished Lightning Returns earlier today and came close to shedding some manly tears The issues I was having to begin with seemed to sort themselves out after 20 or so hours of playtime. I just hope my New Game + can be a little smoother now that I've started to get the hang of things.

Playing Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. What the chuff is up with this technically!?! The framerate is shambolic! Why is it that 4 years after FFXIII the second sequel comes and feels like a less polished launch PS3 title? Anyway, got to the graveyeard and everything is way too hard. I've done as many side missions as possible, sorted out the schematas and nothing. And I can't find that girl's Carbuncle doll thing anywhere EDIT: Just found it

My frame rate was a little better after installing to the hard drive. You should try it and see if that helps I guess
I suggest you don't do the main quests in their order, as that actually makes the game tough. I did my first run through that way, and it made it harder than it had to be. If you want it to be easier, you should look for a guide online.
Also, I still find the garb setup confusing as hell. I'm no good with following enemy patterns either, which can give me some issues lol

It's okay now, I've actually beat Noel. Was insanely difficult. Now wandering through the Wildlands, which I guess is The Archylte Steppe?
EDIT (2): No, actually it might be that place where Hope was in XIII-2 that had an eclipse.
I wasn't sure on how the game really worked until now, but the whole 'Hurry, before another innocent is killed!' thing made me think that you had to do the main quest there before anything else.
And yes, I do have it installed but the framerate is still a mess.

Lightning Returns.
Noel and Snow saved...
Caius? No sodding way is he beatable!
Ahem. Now into the Dead Dunes and somehow managed to beat Earth Eater with Fang's help. That thing was tough. In fact... the whole game is.

Played some more Thief on PC and I would like to cut my wrists now.
I blew the dust off my 3DS XL and started Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate - This is a fun game, even though I got halfway through and rage quit last night. I have since gone on to beat the game today, and I would recommend this to anyone with a 3DS.
Picked up Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved on Steam - I have very fond memories of playing this on 360, and I felt like re living some of the awesome times. Unfortunately I've spent all morning playing it and can't quite crack a million yet, certainly nowhere near as good as I once was. It's such a bloody fun game!
Also been playing some Chaos Legion on PS2, which I think is a bit of a hidden gem. It's a fun game and well worth the £1-2 it will cost to get.

Lightning Returns.
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND sod that enemy beyond the Sacred Gate in the Dead Dunes.
This game is seriously brutal.
EDIT: Just beat Parandus. THAT was the very definition of strategy and planning. And EP spendage...

Batman Begins on PS2 - I got this randomly, and I must say that the couple of hours I put in were fun. I'm hoping to spend more time on this through the week.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES - I started playing this tonight whilst in a Skype chat with a Zelda head. He kinda talked me in to starting it, and I'm glad I did. I ended up doing 3 dungeons and picking up 10 heart containers. It's such a pretty bugger!

Alice - Madness Returns. Very good game. The main reason I like this is because of the art... Just beautiful. Camera can be a little annoying though
Almost finished watching a Lets Play: The Suffering Very good soo far.. Even though the guys only got 20,000 views a video, hes doing a very good job with his Lets Plays... Helloween4545

I enjoyed Madness Returns, but playing it in stretches for more than an hour made it tedious. Best in small doses. Also props to the flow of the story/allegory and dialogue in it, was very well done indeed.
Lightning Returns.
Finally beat Caius. I guess because a great number of side quests are done it meant I was perhaps overlevelled...
But he REALLY needed it.
