My little sister is furious though ^_^;; Colin Baker was in it before he became the Doctor (he shot Peter Davison's Doctor) so it's not uncommon to see an actor previously in it to then get a different major role. Excellent choice, the online sources were mostly pointing at Capaldi today but I didn't want to get my hopes up in case they were crushed, but YES!!! I managed to see him a year ago during the first run of the Ladykillers play in London and I thought he was good before but seeing him live was even better. It's going to be hilarious the next couple of days with kids going on line to find out who Capaldi is and stumbling across Youtube videos with Malcolm Tucker... |

I'm happy about him being the new Dr and should be alot better than Matt Smith, I never liked him as the Dr.
Keeping the Dr male was a must, if they had used a woman I'd never of watch it again.

More importantly, after months of rumblings on Dr Who forums, some missing episodes from Patrick Troughton's era are being unveiled. It's all but officially confirmed that it's most of The Web of Fear (killer Yeti's in the London Underground) and The Enemy of the World at least.

Yes, that certainly IS a thing... Most defintely. Answers one question, but leaves another... And NO spoilering until I've seen it... unlike certain people *glares across the room* I shan't be watching it on a big screen in that there London, on Saturday as I'll be on a train down from a toy train show in Brum to a gig in London. So won't see it until I get home after the gig, wee small hours of Sunday (before I have to get up at the crack of sparrows to return to the toy train show...) |

Love how finally they have declared that the 8th doctor stuff is canon after years of dancing around the whole issue.
Apparently there's 1 more minisode to come and it's gonna be aired via the red button before the special airs, so at a guess it will mostly be some pointless extra.
I wonder how much of the time war doctor we'll see during the special though?
