Well E3 is just around the corner and there has already been teases here and there for what will be shown this year. And it seems The Last Guardian will be making an appearance this year.I mean this has been in development since 2007 and was announced in 2009... the only thing fans will want from any announcement is the release date at this point. Gametrailers have been doing their Countdown for E3 again: Personally I'm hoping to hear more about Kingdom Hearts 3 and kind of hoping for a new Infamous title. Oh and I cant forget about the Fire Emblem and maybe news about an English release of Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS.

Bethesda kicked off E3 early this morning. They officially announced Dishonored 2 and Doom. As well as the release date of Fallout 4 which is November 10th. I've put the whole press coverage up here:
And if you don't want to sit through the whole thing I've put up some of the trailers here too:

Stayed up to watch the Nintendo American World Championships 2015. Certainly was a good way to actually showcase a few of their games. Some of those Splatoon matches were rather technical. But the conferences have started: Microsoft. General opinion is people liked it. I wasn't sold on anything, but then again I've never been a fan of Halo. The Rare Replay collection is the only thing I like the look of... Despite owning quite a few of the games. EA: Painful. The Mirror's Edge reboot has the artistic brilliance of the original's graphics now realistic-ified. Was a fan of the first for its atmosphere and unique experience, but... we'll see. And Star Wars: Battlefront. Looked okay, but that was on PS4 and not 60fps. Step it up. I have an inkling that Sony have something up their sleeve. Multiple rumours of a Final Fantasy VII remake finally coming to life (DAMI, SIT DOWN!). A remake... when Dirge of Cerberus gave us THAT ending indicating that the story of VII was far, far from over. Teases. Nintendo did very well last year, but I think they'll have a quiet one. Gotta start preparation for NX, after all. Also gif of the event so far, surmising sitting through EA's conference:

A remake... when Dirge of Cerberus gave us THAT ending indicating that the story of VII was far, far from over. Teases. Ah you know me so well Max :3 And I heard a few days ago that that Square would announce the long awaited Final Fantasy VII remake but I hadn't dared to dream it to be true for I assumed it was just a Fantasy once again. As normal the Universe likes to prove me wrong by actually making the remake. In that same area of rumors I'd also heard that The Last Guardian was coming to E3 and I kind of thought once again that it was just talk. Again the Universe is like "you can't be right about these things Dami" and it turned out to be true. I'm also happy to see a new Hitman game to be annouced and I hope it goes back to the old format were the aim of the game is about being a Hitman. Don't get me wrong I liked the last game but it was more of a story driven game then a Hitman game. So I've never played the first two but it looks like Shenmue 3 is coming. I know I'd probably like Shenmue I just haven't been able to play it. Also it feels like a lot of the announcements last night are projects that were kind of thought to be dead before now. The Last Guardian: Hitman: Shenmue 3: Final Fantasy VII Remake:

This is my favorite reaction to Final Fantasy VII remake: Add this Shenmue III one... Shows how much these things mean to people. I was there for the first two. I was literally screaming at the ending for the second one with its 'The story goes on...' message and roll credits. Utterly unbelievable it's finally happening. Nintendo was very low key. In all fairness they did show us many things which are just on the horizon. But it also stealthy said that they're preparing for the next segment of their lives. Ebbs and flows, ebbs and flows. But yeah... Shenmue-Sodding-III!

Shenmue 3!
Now Sega, bring out 1 & 2 for those of us that weren't allowed to own a Dreamcast/Xbox Classic and only managed to play some of them.
Still don't own either of the next gen consoles but the announcement of backwards compatibility for Xbox One is making me lean more towards that than anything Sony has announced. Was hoping that Microsoft would announce a price drop, didn't want to get burned again like I did when I had to re-buy a 360 and three months later they brought out the slim version.

The best thing about this announcement is that when players have finished III they're going to kick and scream for IV. Yu Suzuki has always said that it is impossible to put the remaining 11 chapters in one game, but maybe in two... So here's to another twenty years of waiting

Shenmue 3! Now Sega, bring out 1 & 2 for those of us that weren't allowed to own a Dreamcast/Xbox Classic and only managed to play some of them. Here's hoping. I keep hearing that they're great games but I haven't had any way to play them. Before the announcement I'm pretty sure the prices were crazy on ebay and now they've gone totally insane. Not that I had a Dreamcast to play it on in the first place. Maybe Sony or Steam will release them as HD upgrades.
