For fans of 70's kids fantasy/SF TV, back when it was acceptable to have children think about what they were watching or even scared, the last piece in my 70’s want trilogy is out. LinkThe other 2 being Escape Into Night and Children Of The Stones.

LinkThe other 2 being Escape Into Night and Children Of The Stones. Ooooh... I remember The Changes. I think I saw a repeat at some point in 1978 or 79... Properly scary, as kids TV should sometimes be. Children of the Stones I only vaguely remember... I might have to splurge the £7 for a copy and see if it jogs anything. And Escape into Night clealy passed me by completely. What about Chocky? That was a fave of mine and similarly creepy. What else... oh, Tripods (pity series 3 never happened) and Day of the Triffids (arguably the latter not really a kids series). There was also an excellent film about kids in a post-apocalyptic world, early-80s, called Dark Enemy. I think I saw that on Channel 4, soon after C4 started broadcasting.

Escape Into Night is often described as a 'pants filler' by people who saw it as a child. It's based on Marianne Dreams by Catherine Storr and is far superior to the horrible film version Paperhouse which only loosely followed the book.
