Booking confirmation for my flights to and from London in October.  Coming to MCM?? On my doormat today: July Infinity Crate (Pop Vinyl Dalek, pale blue 'Guardians' tee, Millenium Falcon sticker, Yoda key fob with lighty-up eyes, Start Trek keyfob/bottle-opener, pack of cherry Fizz Wiz popping candy) 3D printed East German station waiting room. Pack of 4 sprung over-centre catches to hold the 3 new trainset boards together as one 3m long unit (1 x 1.2m + 2 x 0.9m) |

Am I correct in thinking HO and N loco's from places like America and Japan are fine to be used on a english power supply Any major difference in the track gauge between HO and OO? Or just an ever-so-slight scale difference |

Or just an ever-so-slight scale difference Yup, most Continental or US toy trains will run happily on the power supply as a UK toy train, with one exception - avoid the German mob Marklin (or anything by another manufacturer marked 'fur Marklin' or 'Wechelstrom') - they use an antiquated 3-rail ac nonsense system. Plus Marklin have a excitable fanboi following that would put appletards to shame  Scales... UK stuff is 4mm:ft (00) or 2mm:ft (N) which equate to 1/76 scale and 1/148 scale respectively, running on 16.5mm and 9mm gauge track. H0 is 3.5mm:ft (1/87) but running on 16.5mm track while Continental/US N is 1/160, wtill runing on 9mm track. Basically, UK stuff runs on track which is too narrow for the scale (hence why I model 'EM' which is more accurate 18.2mm gauge track for my 4mm:ft/1/76 toy trains. I have US and European H0 stuff which I run on Peco 00 track. A couple of friends have a bunch of Japanese N Gauge trains (Shinkansens and the like) which they run on Peco N gauge track. /toytraing33klecture. |

A new laptop! The old one (4-5 years old) was starting to struggle, and I saw a decent replacement at a decent price, so went for it. Arrived with Win 8.1, quickly upgraded to Win 10, followed by installing all the various programs I use and copied over my stuff. Now I'm getting used to the subtly different keyboard and track-pad, but all good so far. Much quicker, loads more storage and it's purple!  |

Sword Art Online got caught as they were together as Parcelforce opened the parcel and looked at the slip inside. Who did you order Hellsing from? I'm getting fed up waiting for Manga to release the last 2 so may import which would be a first for me. Thanks |

Goodies i got over the last few days. Hellsing and Gundam got through unscathed as they were separate orders. Sword Art Online got caught as they were together as Parcelforce opened the parcel and looked at the slip inside. Who did you order Hellsing from? I'm getting fed up waiting for Manga to release the last 2 so may import which would be a first for me. Thanks Got it from Madman ent, as they were having a 10% off sale at the time. |

Got it from Madman ent, as they were having a 10% off sale at the time. Wow. You got hit by customs from a Madman order. That is unlucky It was the only one that had 2 blu-rays in 1 box, parcelforce opened the parcel and calculated the customs on the invoice in the box. Hellsing and Gundam got through fine as i had them shipped separately, which is what i'll always do with madman orders now. ------------------------- Gangsta. OP cd  My final order from madman ent (will always get 1 dvd/blu-ray at a time from madman so i don't get hit bby customs)  Karneval Character cd's |
