Visited the only Asian supermarket that I've found so far and picked up some Mochi and Okonomiyaki crisps. Also did mmy good deed for the day as a guy that I work with has been going through a bad patch so I bought him a can of A&W root beer.

Dusk maiden of Amnesia. MVM DOTW.
I've never heard of this and have never really had an interest in it but as I don't have it I thought why not. Hopfully that even at the reduced price it will help future Anime production.

My first Nerd Block arrived today How much did it set you back and were you hit by customs? I've been looking at getting one of their boxes and didn't want to get ripped off by postage companies.

My first Nerd Block arrived today How much did it set you back and were you hit by customs? I've been looking at getting one of their boxes and didn't want to get ripped off by postage companies. I went for a 3-month sub for CAN$91 up front, which worked out a tad over £60, or £20 per box. It's the shipping that's a killer - adds at least half as much again to the basic box price, shipping from Canadia. They've been quite clever with the customs label in stating a value of $17.99, under the amount where HMRC are likely to take an active interest. Longer subs will bring the cost per box down, if you can pay up front in one hit - a full year (12 boxes) worked out at around £175 including shipping. I'll see how the following 2 boxes go, then may continue or may look at one of the other players... there's Loot Crate (US based, so again, highish shipping, but the box price a bit less than Nerd Block). There's also Geek Box UK (£20 per box, inclusive of shipping) and Infinity Crate (who I've not yet fully investigated) Other oooh!shiny providers may be available.

I'm currently using both JList for sweet stuff and I've just started a sub for oyatsubox.com/ for more sweet stuff looking at Loot Crate but I decided against it

You got one as well. Mines staying in the box but with the lid open for display as i don't want anything to happen to it.

Yeah, looking around the 'net I've seen folk using perspex display cubes to show them off, which is nice option. However, I think ours might join those of our fellow 3rd Foot & Mouth re-enactment group as a larger display piece - between us we have about 20. with plans to create a centrepeice to our portable memorial for use at events. I visited the Tower a few times over the autumn to watch the installation grow, during the final week it was a truly impressive and very moving sight, especially in the autumn sun

Did a raid on CEX today and came out with Candyman Day of the Dead (supposed to be awful) and Battle Royale II:Requiem (quite enjoyed the first one) I'm going to have to keep checking in there to see if I get the films I need to complete all the bits of series that I have. Can't complain really as they are cheap . Noodle.

CEX online any good? £2,50 postage per order. I wouldn't know about the online side as I always visit their stores either here or in Belfast but I've never had a problem with any of the discs that I've bought from the stores. Noodle.
