Letter saying that the hitchhickers guide to the galaxy radio show I had booked up for next month has been cancelled. Although I have a feeling they have refunded me too much, they are putting £15 back onto the card (where I'm pretty sure I only paid £10 for the ticket as it was a special deal) Yeah, I had that disappointment too, was booked for Reading Hexagon next Tuesday. Lack of ticket sales, so they cancelled the whole tour *sigh* First view is that they tried to have too many shows. Got a bag of books from the library for £1, all ex-rental books. Got about 14 |

Due to FGW doing what FGW do best and running late, I had just under an hour to kill this afternoon in Basingjoke, so I had a walk to the british heart foundation shop (along with other shops) and I think I got lucky, £1.75 each:  I had a £25 love2shop voucher from a survey site so I got a few new titles in Waterstones, the Deus Vitae was another 3-titles from the BHF shop, and the Megatokyo was a purchase from oxfam overpriced music in Reading  And some DVDs from CEX (Princess & K-On), Karas from BHF again, even if it's rubbish it was only 99p  Have also ordered K-On Series 2 Part 1 from amazon, plus the blu-ray of the movie, making use of my 5% student discount for new stuff on Amazon |

There was a couple other serieses there, but I didn't pick up as they were incomplete (and a quick search on the amazon app picked up the later/earlier volumes were rather expensive)
Any good charity shops in the oxford area where manga have been previously spotted? (IIRC there is a large oxfam in the city)

Oxford is pretty dead for anything Anime/Manga related, I think iv scouted out all charity shops in Kidlington, Summertown and Witney... mangaed to find popular dvds (like akira) yet nothing else.. I will have a look though,, Got nothing better to do so i'll find a printout marking all the charity shops and go hunting |

I miss going on a charity shop hunt looking for music.
The problem with most of the charity shops is that they get donated shed-lots more than they can actually display (I was once invited into the back store of a Shaw Trust shop and they had thousands of book titles waiting to go out.
