Thought I'd start this old chestnut up again!
I just finished reading Christopher Brookmyre's Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks. Loved it. Very witty and nicely paced. I'll definitely be reading more of his stuff in the future.
Next on my to read list is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Gun Machine, by Warren Ellis Just started, interesting thus far. And it's Warren Ellis (writer of most of my fave comic series) so not much can really go wrong

Ploughing through Spice and Wolf: Volume 3. Seems like the manga skipped this story.

Read a book called Bad History by Emma Marriott. A book about how what we think are historical facts are often very far from the truth. Next on the list is going to be A Handbook On Hanging by Charles Duff. It actually has a chart in the back for calculating the drop. Noodle.

Finished Spice and Wolf: Volume 3. What a great ending This is a light novel, and as such the words 'light' and 'novel' come together in the only way they can (if that makes sense), but Spice and Wolf is a terrific series. This volume (especially the climax and ending) was brilliant. Nicely plotted and done, predictable (but I think it was supposed to be), and charming. Maxi impressed.

Re-reading Curing hiccups with small fires by Karl Shaw. Good for a laugh about the British national hobby of eccentricity.

The Fault in our Stars By John Green - A grim, but sweet and very funny take on the life and love of a teenage girl dying of terminal cancer

Finished Spice and Wolf: Volume 4.
The one with Elsa and the rival settlements. Not the best story, and after 3's excellent climax and epilogue, it feels all so flat.
Though I take it this is where the anime adaptation ends, what with each series roughly equating 2 of the light novels.

Picked up Cartoons of WW2 from The Works. Quite a fascinating read as it has descriptions about what the cartoons were actually supposed to represent kind of like a psychology and sociology lesson in one illustration. I find it quite interesting to see the comparisons of how a nation views itself and how others view them. Noodle.

As I'm really looking forward to the Under the Dome tv series over the last week I've listened to the audiobook at work. It's Stephen King brings his A game.
Starting Jack Ketchum - Ladies' Night tonight at work. Really looking forward to it. I like the harder or rougher stuff.
