As you know, I love my snacks and I'm sure you do too. Seeing as this was languishing at the bottom with no one posting here I thought it might be fun to start a thread about snacks. If you want to add to it feel free. So today I ate Pandan Coconut Nan Wong Dumplings. I managed to get these fresh and cooked them at home using a vegetable steamer, nothing beats nice hot dumplings fresh from the steamer.

Today I had a rather nice Taiwanese egg yolk pudding and a box of green tea Pocky. The pudding was very tasty but I didn't think much to the green tea Pocky, maybe I shouldn't have had them with a can of Tizer.

Today's snacks were Mango and Milk flavour Mousse Pocky and Japanese style Red Bean Mochi. I really love Mochi and it's a great treat to put before people as they often don't know what to make of it but they enjoy it. The Mousse Pocky was the first time I've had this type of Pocky and it's just Pocky with a thicker coating in a fancier packet. I'm glad I've tried it but only really buy it for the novelty as it's quite expensive at £1.80 a pack.

Right now I'm eating Nong Shim Tako Chips that are Octopus flavour. Quite nice actually, but I can't understand why the chips are shaped like fish and why the Octopus on the front is wearing a snorkel and goggles.

I guess you didn't get the Miso soup I sent. I must have formatted it incorrectly. Today I ate Green tea Mochi and Red wine and chocolate pejoy. The pejoy had whisky in it which over powered the wine flavour. Also they smelled like a wine glass the morning after, I don't think I'll buy them again.

Strawberry and vanilla pejoy and Calbee Seaweed flavour potato chips. I never really thought that I would like seaweed but it's actually not too bad. On my next visit to the store I'm going to have to get my favourite Wasabi and Tempura seaweed.

Four Seas Strawberry flavour corn chips and Daim Mikado. I'm not calling it Pocky as the chocolate doesn't have that slight coffee taste that Pocky does. Also Strawberry flavour corn chips are really freaky because you think you're getting something savoury when in actual fact you get a really sweet strawberry taste.

Following from my raid on Nottingham today I had some steamed buns that were coconut and custard filled. Honestly there is nothing like a nice hot steamed bun as a snack in the evening. Over the next few days I'm going to be starting on the really weird stuff.

The type of bun was called a boe, I think. It was like a massive boiled egg . Today I'm eating Jack 'n Jill Chicharron ni Mang Juan. No, I had no idea either even when I bought 5 packets of the stuff. Turns out it comes from a Mexican dish which originates in Spain and found it's way to the far east. Chicharron is basically pork crackling but these ones are, get this, mock pork crackling made from Green Peas!. Basically these are vegetarian Pork Scratching's that have flavoured with vinegar, sadly though they are not green which would have made them awesome but still vegetarian pork scratching's are really weird yet also quite nice. Almost as good as the Bacon Flavour Bites that were made in Israel and suitable for vegetarians .

Can you remember the crisps that came with the little sachet that you added yourself to the crisps?. Well today I tried a far eastern version, Salmon Sushi and Wasabi flavour from Jack 'n Jill. Sadly though these were not as exciting as they sound, the chips didn't taste of anything at all and when I added the Wasabi powder and shook the bag all I could taste was Wasabi. Mind you I finished the crisps an hour ago and I can still feel the heat in my mouth but I think that's overkill. Cant wait to try the next flavour though and I want to get cracking on some Mochi and candied fruit.

Wow noodle! That's quite the culinary adventure you've got going on! I wish I could get half of the stuff you're talking about in shops near me!
On Saturday I had: Gyoza Udon noodles with duck and Chinese style BBQ pork
Admittedly, both from a local Chinese restaurant, but mighty tasty nonetheless.
