Well as I mentioned I had done a Chaotico and bought something incredibly expensive, they bought Jam and I bought Matcha tea. This stuff cost me £10 for 1oz and has to treated with respect because I certainly can't afford to waste any. While this actually my second attempt, my first ending in disaster, I actually managed to pull it off to a reasonable level. However I have no idea how Matcha should actually taste but going by other peoples descriptions I seem to have got it quite close and most of the powder had dissolved. For this tea I brought out the big guns in the form of Funwaryaki which is basically the same as Dorayaki and was eaten before drinking the tea. I know that it's quite frothy but that was because I used an electric milk frother to help the powder dissolve. And no, I didn't use a kettle or boiling water but the water was boiled and the allowed to cool for a bit. An interesting drink that certainly tastes different to regular green tea and it's supposed to be good for you too. Noodle.

Well it wasn't exactly an ate but more of a drank. Today I had one of those bubble teas and to be honest with you it was actually quite good. The flavour that I had was milky green tea matcha flavour with tapioca pearls. I enjoyed it so much that I picked up a free loyalty card and I'm planning to work my through as much of the list as I can to claim my prizes. While it might seem expensive at £2.65 I think the cup size was about 400ml so it was quite a big drink and I'm sure coffee from a certain tax avoiding chain is probably just as expensive. So if you find yourself in Nottingham and want to try a bubble tea then visit Oriental Mart. Noodle.

Korean Oreo cookies half peach and half grape flavour. Yes you did read that right. Rather then the standard white flavour (is a colour a flavour?) these ones have a filling that is half grape and coloured green and another half that is peach and coloured pink. They were part of a selection that had just been imported in and they were the only variety that they had on the shelf but more types have become available. These cookies were not like your typical Oreo cookies because these ones gave off a very strong smell of alcohol which ruined the taste. Even breaking them in half and trying the individual parts couldn't mask the smell. The only way I found that I could eat them was to dunk them in some very strong tea. While I might have got a bad pack it has certainly put me off trying any of the other ones that are available. Noodle.

Got my second stamp on my bubble tea card today. This time I had Blueberry with Tapioca. I'm really looking forward to trying the varieties of these as they are really quite nice and I only need to get 2 more then I get 1 half price. I think next time I will get Taro flavour. Noodle.

Curry and Rice. Used S&B regular curry roux this time. Since I last bulk bought curry roux (different types) I've been making notes on which I prefer - one more to go (I bought 5 different hot ones) till I can decide what to me is best.
For those not in the know, aside from 3-4 strength types (depending on make) with the top one being 'hot', but actually quite mild to western tastes, from what I can tell there are three types 1. Regular 2. Golden 3. With fruit (apple) and honey I'm not sure what is different about the Golden version except it's colour is not as brown.

Any idea what the randomly sheped food's all about! I've seen weirder then star shaped carrots . Sometimes though I think they just do that so it looks good as it's just freeze dried carrot really. I had La La sweet chilli fish crackers. These were surprisingly nice with a very mild chilli flavour and plenty of crunch from the cracker. I normally don't go for fish snacks but they do seem to bringing a lot out at the moment so I may try some more. Noodle.

Green Jasmine Milk Tea with Tapioca pearls. I got my loyalty card stamped again so I'm only 1 away from getting the half price one and then 5 more after that and I get 1 free. I really need to find out how you make Red Bean paste so I can use up the Sushi Rice that I've got. Noodle.
