I am at the end of my tether with Dark Souls II. I have three of the Lord Souls, but can I beat {Spoiler}Myra The Poison Queen ? I think it's impossible. I have poison resistance at 90% and it makes no difference, you still get poisoned in about three seconds and it STILL saps your energy in a flash. Using resistance items is useless since it nullifies the effect for a second... and by that time she's usaully zoomed towards you and spiked you with her weapon. All other bosses were fine, they had a fair strength/weakness balance, but this? I think I've missed a poison immunity ring somewhere, or you can drain the posion in the room somehow. It's a blind/no magic/no summon playthrough, but... this is just too much  EDIT: I DID IT! I had to revert back to human form to get my entire life bar back. I then just ran up to the sod, blocked with a shield and hacked away, waiting to heal whenever she jumped away. I also noticed that she also regains her energy  There must have been an easier way to do this. |

Ys 1 on PC - Absolutely Fabulous! My first Ys game and I bloody loved it. It took a little over 6 hours to complete, and despite not being long it still had me tuned in. I'll certainly be going through II at some point.

Ys II on PC - I put it on this morning and ended up playing through. I loved it!
I need more of these in my life, and as I am not a fan of Steam pricing, I am considering importing the physical of Origin. I'm also gonna be watching the Anime, which I didn't know existed till this evening.

I played some Doom last night with my brother. I think it was Doom 3.
I played The Wolf Among Us episode 4 on Saturday too. SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD. Hate the wait for the final episode now. They better make a series 2 as I can't imagine them being able to tie up all the loose ends in one episode!

Devil May Cry 3 on PS3 - This is my backlog challenge game this month, and also one of my favorites.
I beat it last night as Dante, so gonna go kick some ass as Vergil now.

Teslagrad. Which is nigh impossible to play using the standard keyboard controls. And is also temperamental with its reception of controller input.

Almost finished Professor Layton and The Lost Future. Will make a start on the one after it by this weekend hopefully and then, then I can buy the 3DS ones!  I really wish they'd get a move on and make another film! |

Just started Fire Emblem Awakening. I'd been meaning to play this for a while now and after I found Tomodachi Life so...BORING!!!! I decided to pop into GAME and trade it in.
So what do I think? Well I started with a fully charged 2DS at 14:00.....its now 18:43 as I write this and I'm nearly flat. Granted I started again as I hated the look of my character but even that was only after 10 minutes and since then I've only taken a break for food and now to charge it since I cant play and charge at the same time.

UFC on PS4 - Well, I've played a couple of hours and got bored pretty fast. I don't think I'll bother with the online much, had a couple of fights and bumped into superman punch spammers. I guess it wouldn't be a big deal if I got good at the game though.

I mentioned some cool DLC stuff for Borderlands and Borderlands 2 to my Brother and he's bought 3 of them for Borderlands 2. We're playing the Torgue one atm then we have Hammerlock and Tiny Tina the other DLC on there sounds too meh for us. Like there's only 3 on Borderlands we want too. We're hoping this satisfies us until the Pre Sequel comes out! I'm hoping he enjoys Heavy Rain when I give it him a day early for his birthday on the weekend. Those who play Telltage Games's stuff have all had it on their lists of things like Telltale that they like to play so we'll see! |

Finished Dark Souls II blind  Beat the final boss... without actually realizing it was the final boss! With the first Dark Souls even if you didn't pay 100% attention it was understandable that you were fighting against four Lord Souls and ultimately things led to Gwyn. But here... I didn't really have a clue about much... 'Four Lord Souls... meet the king...' And that's... it? The final boss just sort of pops up and... The End. Overall it doesn't compare to the original at all. Some things felt off, like the combat system and lock-on, and the levels seemed random and uncoordinated in places, with a very, very strange fluctuation with graphical quality - some areas looked artistically stunning, while some were plucked right out of the N64/PS1 era. A good game, no doubt, but comparisons to it's prequel are not favorable. The change in director is very noticeable. Those optional bosses, though... well done, well done indeed.
