Enigma: Sadeness. For the past few years I just could not remember the band/song name of this! 'Gregorian chanting, French dialogue, hit in the early nineties' may have scored some success with Google (or some Redtube videos), but trawling through Now That's What I Call Music albums felt more satisfying Of course it was Enigma. Hard to forget actually.

Had a day of female voices, starting with Swedish alt-folk duo First Aid Kit and their excellent album 'The Lion's Roar'. Followed that with Gabrielle Aplin's folky EP 'Home' - very calming and relaxing. And finally, set the player up to play everything by Garbage

Awesomesauce!! One of my fave crusty bands of the late 80s and early 90s, The Sea, have just put all their early stuff up on Soundcloud. So at long, long last I can retire the old cassette versions of Welcome and Kippers. Happy, happy day!! I've been boogieing around the house to these classic crusty tracks all evening

Listening to my Iphone set to random. It keeps giving me j-pop/vocaloid songs. Why

Postie delivered the new New Model Army album 'Between Dog and Wolf' this morning... which has been played twice since then! Less rock and more tribal this time around, but it's a superb set of 14 tracks. Really looking forward to the live dates later this year.
Also (finally) listened to the new Placebo album, very good.

I'm loving 3RDEYEGIRL teamed up with prince at the moment. This re working of his classic hit really is something else.
Also listening to a ton of Pearl Jam at the moment

Loads of anime stuff on my mobile phone. Tatu in the car for some nostalgia. Is it really 11 years since all the fuss over these 2?
