Been trying to teach myself walking bass lines so what better than listening to So What:
Bonus: A song by a German electronic band, performed by a Japanese electronic band, as jazz.

Oh my word...
Some wonderfully kind soul has uploaded an old, old live concert VHS video to youtube...
About 5 seconds in, middle of that three-stack (clip edited from later in the gig, hence the mouth not coinciding with the lyrics...)
That was such a fantastic bouncy sweatbox of a gig.

Guilty pleasure time, well not really as I don't care; do you see what I did there Ahh Wendy James; helped a lot of young men through their adolescent years .... Also just noticed how similar she looks to chibi Eu in my current avatar Had a friend living in New Cross when Carter released this so was appropriate.

We've got tickets for the (allegedly) Last Ever Carter USM gig in November, Brixton Academy. TOLBiNC always gets the crowd bouncing. And yeah... we had friends in New Cross around the same time, saw Carter for the first time at The New Cross Venue. Very sweaty place.

I haven't listened to much music lately, but tonight I am relaxing with a nice variety.

Wovenhand. Lots and lots of Wovenhand. A NMA chum pointed me and a few other Following in their direction and most of us have had pretty much the same reaction of 'why the %#*&! haven't this band crossed our paths before now?? o.O ' They come across as the slightly dourer, alt-country bastard child of Messrs Cash and Cave. Fantastic stuff. Really gritty earworms. Just booked a ticket for their sole UK date at the Bush Hall in London 16 June. Seriously looking forward to it.
