Gunslinger Girl # 15What an emotional roller coaster ride. Any one who at first thought it was just going to be an action series with the 'good guys' winning at the end of each story soon found out just how wrong they would be and how different the story would be. Spoiler
As the story went on and the girl's mortality came to the front and the first of them died, then this tale became more of a heart breaker and tear jerker. The final main story carried on with that theme with nothing being kept as sacred. And so we come to the final volume. The events of the near past are being wrapped up, yet there are still more twists. There are many ways this story could have been wrapped up, and rumour has it Yu Aida only decided to do so about 6 months ago, but the way in which it was done I feel was well managed. Some might think it was a little soft - Spoiler
it certainly was not without more sorrow - but for me it worked.

I have been reading The Ravages of Time...its a completely different take on the romance of the three kingdoms but its oh so very good.

followed by Limit vol 1 - bunch of cliquey high school girls get stuck in the middle of nowhere when their bus plunges into a ravine... bitchy, vicious and pretty unpleasant. Also, the basic idea has been done many times before and better. Won't be continuing with Limit.

Bakuman vol 20. The End. A fitting finale to a great series.
Genshiken ch 1-5 - loving all the otaku references... even if some many most of them strike quite close to home *cough*
