Can someone tell me why its taken this long for gay marrage to become legal? [/rant] Because some small-minded bigots with power imposed their interpretation of a translated 2000-year-old fictional work on everyone else?? That said... Gay marriage is the shiny thing that is comparatively easy to achieve, but arguably the least pressing issue compared to, say, reducing the the high rate of violence against LGBT people, or the high rate of bullied LGBT teens commiting suicide or ensuring global equal rights for LGBT people... Will those hugely important issues be forgotten now that the LGBT community has 'won' the right to marriage??

Also should say Japan had a better grip on the Fukushima plant problem then America had on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Do you mean how when all the American sub contactors didn't know what to do they wheeled out the only response guaranteed to get the American people behind them............Blame the British. Noodle. Yep thats the one ^_^ Basicly no one was checking it part from one guy who was only in training. And from understand he went there only because he wanted to not because he was ordered to. Can someone tell me why its taken this long for gay marrage to become legal? (Or should I say illigal for churches/reg offices to say no) I cannot understand why people are treated differently because they have a same sex partner  If somebody loves someone, they cause no harm to anyone else and there happy,, whats exactly is wrong? And why should they be treated differently than the next cupple. [/rant] Agreed All versions of love should be able to marry. Part from you know incest but after that everyone should be aloud to marry who they wish as long as that love is between two consenting adults. Speaking of incest (something I didn't think I'd ever say) does anyone remember what Jeremy Irons said recently on the subject of gay marriage? He was babbling on about how people could abuse it by marrying their own sons. ... What the f**k is that man on? Anyway in other news Sony is dropping it's appeal for the fine they revived in their data breach: www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23313535

reducing the the high rate of violence against LGBT people, or the high rate of bullied LGBT teens commiting suicide or ensuring global equal rights for LGBT people urgh *headache* I have to agree, Even if you make a comment about homosexual relationships while at school it would get you ridiculed,, let alone acturly being gay Speaking of incest (something I didn't think I'd ever say) does anyone remember what Jeremy Irons said recently on the subject of gay marriage? Even if you make a comment about homosexual relationships while at school it would get you ridiculed,, let alone acturly being gay Yup. And don't even get me started on the whole 'It get's better' fallacy... It shouldn't NEED to 'get better' in the future. It should BE better from the start. 'It gets better' implies that it's okay to be bullied for being LGBT at school because at some unspecified future date you'll leave school and those homophobic bullies behind (assuming you don't buckle under the abuse and kill yourself). NO. IT'S NOT OKAY. Homophobia* needs to be stamped out everywhere. * and in what way is it a 'phobia'?? Phobias are a medical condition defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational. 'Homophobia' is simply a misnomer for bigotry, stupidity and hatred. /rant.

Basicly no one was checking it part from one guy who was only in training. And from understand he went there only because he wanted to not because he was ordered to. Well there was more to it then that. Like Halliburton using a cheaper and unsuitable cement, Cameron Intl who designed and built the blow-out preventer that failed to operate at that depth and Transocean who owned and operated the Deepwater Horizon oil rig that had numerous previous safety violations. However one thing that they do have in common is that they are all massive financial contributors to both Republican and Democrat politicians. Noodle. Head of the tin foil hat brigade.

Can someone tell me how it's OK to have a race just for women? I bet if they try putting on a race for life just for men it would be uproar.

I hate all the stuff that is there for women...like international women's day. Or that there should be 'quota's' for the number of women in the boardroom. I'm sorry but you should only be in the boardroom if you've got the skills and qualifications to be there. Not that you are there just because you are a woman.

So no one was doing their job well or if they were not correctly and well things f**ked up pretty badly. Guys that's an easy one, everyone would be willing to run for breasts who wants to say they run for a prostate? I kid of course but there is a lack of awareness for men's health problems compared to women health problems. Thankfully Samuel L Jackson is trying to spread more awareness on the subject: As for the reason for quota's for women on boardroom stats well that's most down to fear. Every company likes to say they're into diversity and hire just about anyone man or woman to help fill those numbers. Hell if I mentioned that I have dyspraxia (which I do) in a job application there's a good chance that I'll get an interview even if I wasnt any where near qualified for the job. It doesn't always work but it works enough to be true so it's not just a woman thing with these places. So anyone remember the horse meat scandal; of course you do who could forget that mess? Anyway MP's are now criticizing investigations: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23321508 Here's all the test really needed to be, "does it moo?" if yes it's a cow and if not its a horse. Also figured this story about diet drinks was interesting: (just beware the pictures of the teeth )

Yeah.. like all that crap about Andy Murray being the first British Wimbledon champion since 1936... completely ignoring Virginia Wade's superb win in 1977... I think that time is fast approaching where we will see men and women competing equally in the same event in certain sports. I've certainly watched women archers, footballers, hockey players, darts players and sailors who could easily complete and win against men.

If race for life wanted to raise more money for cancer research, open it up for men to take part. It's not like it's a competitive event, everybody who finishes gets a medal
