I did notice that North Korea was the overall champion at Sochi, winning golds in everything they entered, smashing all records along the way, and murdering some South Korean scum.

That one has been on the front pages of the local papers the past few days, I've tried not to look too much into that one as I'm only about five miles away from there, it's a bit of a rough area in general (there was a murder there yesterday) but urgh...
P.S. Daily Mail, it's South Bank*, not Middlesbrough.
*Not the one with the BFI, etc.

Sounds a nice place to live -_- not Which is why I try to avoid the place like the plague and rush through when we're in cars* along with all the other ex-dormitory towns for the now mostly gone steel works, not pretty areas but I never thought I'd see something like this happen. *The area is used for driving lessons/tests and my driving instructor said "If anyone comes up, run them over, ask questions later". Yeah...

More fun from the local council...
...parking prices are going up again...
At least they didn't get their way and increase the charging hours to 6pm. Are they trying to kill the town centre?

easy way of earning money now that they've been told they can't abuse parking fines.

Not having a car - useful in cities with decent public transport, not that good if you live somewhere where the buses are a bit of a joke.
If I set off on a train I can get to Woking by the time the bus would have reached Andover, if both left at the same time.
