Does it work Kirei?
I've heard weights are better than cardio for calorie burn? If so when I have spare money I'm going to buy some dumb bells. What weight minimum would they need to be to do something to me?
I'd love to join the pure gym across the road but I'd literally just do the bikes or treadmill though so I'm not too keen. Excercise dvds get about a good solid two weeks from me in which time I lose know weight but my legs get nicely toned. TBH though my legs tone up in like 3 days. I just want weight loss now. Doing the diet from tomorrow but I know exercise might help that little bit more. I'm gona get bored after 10-20 mins though.

Adding weight to a cardio workout is what most people do to ''increase the burn'' I guess you could add ankle weights for things like runnning/cycling and skipping ? Now I'm giving myself ideas... might have to throw on some ankle weights for work. I haven't touched that Irn Bru for a fortnight, and I'm starting to see some benefits. My spotty mess of a face is clearing up, and I have managed to get a lot more sleep than normal! I now have a breakfast before leaving for work, which really sets up the day. On Thursday/Friday I had 100g of Greek Yogurt, handful of bran flakes, handful of frozen berries (so yummy) and a cup of green tea. It's really helped stop the cravings before 10am break, which is now just 2 sandwiches/cereal bar/fruit and the same for lunch time. I spend my day speed walking, so as you could imagine, I need me food!

Yeah maybe i'll just do jumping jacks for 5 mins along with weights haha. I bought the Womens Health mag and they have a 10 min tummy work out I might do. I get lazy easy so time is key. My weight on the scales and my tummy is my main concern since when I did the body composite test, my BMI was meh but I was only like 1 on the scale over having a good body fat % so I'm rather pleased with that.
I'm trying to eat as best I can atm whilst still with cold. Since I'm hungry all the time atm, I'm choosing decent snacks to have including breakfast, between 10 & 1.30pm which is when I finally eat my lunch.
Hopefully the snacking will stop once I'm well (a dairylea dunker and a peach activia was had on top of my ready brek breakfast) as I lose anything between 4-7lbs usually (if I'm more overweight that usual) in 2-3 weeks of just 3 meals a day.

I got my 2 and a half stone award at slimming world last week. I'm quite proud of myself. I'll joined the local gym in the new year and shift all the weight i put on over christmas...as i intend to enjoy myself (not stupidly) as it only comes once a year.

Gyms love January, so many new members who sign up to 12 month contracts and give it up after February, so income for nothing.

Having put on around half a stone over Christmas, I was only 10 to start with so that's quite a bit, I'll be looking to lose some in the next few months. My new job means I have to walk from my car to the station then to my office so that will help. I won't be going on a diet as such just cutting out snacking and trying to eat healthier. If anyone needs any motivation then the following advert should help

Popped to the gym this morning, full of twittering girls 'working out' by walking at the lowest speed on the treadmill.
"I'm in the gym!!!!"
Add on the people who sit on some of the equipment and using their iClones. If you want to text someone, stand away from the equipment.
Life would be great if they banned mobile phone usage within the gym.

Life would be great if they banned mobile phone usage within the gym. At first I was surpised that they didn't then I thought about the high usage of smart phones that may have exercise apps that people could be using but if they're just using it yak away about their workouts then yes, ban them. That's the main reason why I don't want to join a gym but I do want to get in shape. I know round is a shape but not a good one . Noodle.

It's a bit funny, the gym I go to changed its CV equipment last year, they now work with an app for apple devices by plugging the cable into the bottom so it can transfer the data...
...the cable is the old style 30 pin type and not the newer type, so it is sort of a wasted feature with many of the users with iDevices with the wrong socket.
