The way my friend was talking today you'd think it was the end of the world with this storms. I've heard two different courses for it...either hit the middle of the country or the English Channel. Each weather forecast i watch seems to be different.

The met office probably don't know themselves, but they have got to cover for it.
Imagine the poor people moaning if a storm hits somewhere and they weren't warned about it, won't someone think of the children!
Anyhow mainly today has been a bit warm at times, rainy at times, downpoury at times.

Wind is most certainly picking up here in South Oxfordshire. Scariest thing of all are the two big ruddy trees at the garden's end.
Still, they survived the '87 storm, and the winds for this aren't predicted to be as high.
*Fingers crossed*
EDIT: And now the neighbour's mowing his lawn.

Everything in the back-garden has been put away/binned, gave me an excuse to tidy up the junk corner ready for winter.
Last night was windy coming home, had to go into snail mode a couple times in the car going over fresh wet leaves.

No wind yet here in Gosport/Portsmouth but shed loads of rain. We've put most stuff in the shed but stuff that couldn't fit has been placed in the corner of the garden which is sort of shielded.

Aye, the wind was certainly whistling around Custom House last night and I awoke to texts from 2 of my team saying they were without trains... so I decided to cancel today as leave and come into the office... lucky I did as it's pretty much deserted. (Plus I can use that day later in the year when I need it). Fortunate that I was the right side of London after MCM  |
