So what Comics is everyone reading at the moment? Are you more a Marvel fan or a DC Fan or a bit of both. Of course its not just Marvel and DC Comics but those two are the bigger names in Comics. I myself do seem to be a bit of a Marvel fanboy then a DC one. Not that i don't like DC Comics in fact one of my favorite series at the moment happens to be Smallville series 11. It's kind of funny that i actually like it more than the current New 52 Superman specially since they've added Batman to the series Currently I'm reading: Deadpool Smallville Series 11 Uncanny Avengers Uncanny X-Men All New X-men Avengers Assemble Hawkeye Secret Avengers Nova Guardians of the Galaxy Ame-Comi Girls Indestructible Hulk Supergirl America's Got Powers Injustice Gods Amoung Us Arrow Justice League of America Sword of Sorcery

I'm neither a Marvel or DC fanboi... I've just never got into the whole spandex thing *shrugs*
I tend towards the more alternate stories, mostly from the smaller comic houses (Boom, Image, etc) and I can be very picky when it comes to comics - the story must interest me and the art something better than the generic US style
Current list includes:
2000AD Bedlam Chew Saga Mind The Gap Carbon Grey Morning Glories
I do have the annoying habit of buying the weekly issues AND then the tpb... must do a proper sort and see if I can shift the weeklies at some point.

I've heard of and seen most of those on Image's website; I've certainly heard Grace Randolph mention Saga on her youtube channel. I've been reading America's Got Powers (well when they can be bothered to release it) and Son of Merlin. A friend of mine gave me a Omnibus of Witchblade which i haven't really cracked open yet. The only one i think I'm reading from Boom Studios is Supurbia.

so far its hard to say given i have around 300 comics saved for reading on there lol but the marvel now stuff was mainly a small bunch of issue 1's ranging from the new xmen comic with the time travelling team in to superior spiderman, there was a total of 7 titles offered from marvel now which was abit of a letdown as i actualyl only signed up for the marvel promotion for those got issue 1 of the new Hawkeye comic tho which is damn good so that made up for the rest of the crappy selection marvel offered Is guardians of the Galaxy good? i've read the webcomic prequels but the crappy art didnt exactly sell bendis and this new artist as a credible successors to abnett and co. I intend to give nova a read once that hack loeb buggers off and a writer who can actualyl write comics that arent utter drivel takes over.

Well i like Nova, the third issue came out last week and as it happens just introduced the Chitauri. From my understanding its the first time they're appearing in the main Marvel universe. I think they did appear in the Ultimate Universe but I dont know much about that. As for Guardians of the Galaxy its ok so far I mean its only 2 issues in. Ok well 1 really as Issue 0.1 is basically a back-story. I did hear this new series will be close to what the film be like next year. Which if true means Iron Man might be in it. Of course if you really want to know what Guardians of the Galaxy is like read Avengers Assemble (2012) Issue 1 to 8. Its a good story which i picked up last year shortly before i saw the film Avengers Assemble. Its one of the first sets of comics i started collecting last year. It was also the first time I'd even heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy. So when i heard sometime afterwards that there would be a Guardians of the Galaxy comic and a film in 2014 i was kind of excited. Also... well Gamora is hot I did hear Zoe Saldana might be playing her in 2014 and I wont complain if that's true ^_^

Backtrack and read annihilation if you want more nova and guardians stuff matey, you wont be disappointed im gonna grab the first couple of issues next week i think via comixology and see how this new series wracks up against the last, not sure iron man appearing in the new sereis is a good thing but no doubt they'll find a way to make it work(i trust bendis at one thing and thats making the marvel universe seem connected. Hmm is she the one from that assassin film a couple of years back columbiana(or whatever its called)? if so yeah i could see her being a good fit for the deadliest women in the universe

Yeah that's her And I'll have a look for it thanks ^_^ Anyway as i said Avengers Assembled issue 1 to 8 is a nice little storyline to help introduce the Guardians to people like me who at that point never heard of them. It also explains why Iron Man joins them for the first few issues of their new series this year. The 2nd issue (well 3rd really)comes out today but since i cant get out to get my comics today I've ordered them online from my usual seller. Oh and in case if no one knows on Saturday 4th of May is Free Comic Book day. Comic book stores always give out a selection of different Comics out for free on the first Saturday of May. My local Comic book store and the store i buy from online takes part of the event. Its meant to be a way for people who wouldn't normally buy comics to pick something up for free to see if they like them or not.

I got the first Issue of Cable and Xforce but I didn't enjoy it that much so when it came to getting the next issue I forgot and haven't picked it up since. Uncanny Avengers is good but my god the first issue is f**king gruesome I forgot to pick up the first Issue of Uncanny Xforce and I still haven't gotten around to picking it up.

So I've read issue 2 (well again really its really 3) of Guardians of the Galaxy, it was ok but it looks like the opening storyline is going to be wrapping up in the next issue. I could of gone for some more issues in the opening storyline.
I also got Mark Millar's new comic "Jupiter's Legacy" and it was so-so. Not as great as they're trying to sell as. Image's description of it on their website is "The comic-book event of 2013" and so far... no it isn't. Or at least not this first issue. Maybe it will get better and live up to Image's hype of it but so far its just an ok comic nothing to special.
Getting real sick of "America's Got Powers" delays! Issue 6 was due out next week and I just checked back and saw that its now listed as May 15th. Issue 1 came out on April 11th 2012 and a year later this six issue series still hasn't finished. It was even given an extra issue but now I'm guessing that will be heavily delayed ^_^;;

For some reason i decided to read Thunderbolts #1 earlier and just as i feared its not the t-bolts i know anymore but some kind of abomination wearing its name if in the first issue frank had told red hulk to go himself them blown his head off i could have accepted the idea of a team of outcast vigilante heroes doing wetwork the avengers cant deal with, however putting that abortion of a character red hulk in charge just because someone actually thinks people like the loeb creation was a mistake i can only hope is rectified by piss poor sales or liefield being hired to do the art alongside loeb being allowed to write it(since both together would surely kill the book within 2 months if sales didnt). As you can see i really dont like the current thunderbolts concept and hate red hulk more than anyone ever hated the sentry(who was at least a good concept written badly). I did find the other members working together an interesting idea though and should marvel put a new character in charge(black widow or nick cage would do the job) the title may be worth reading again...well provided they kill red hulk aswell lol

I've been reading Thunderbolts mainly because Deadpool is in it otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. 8 issues in and I'm still like "What the f**k did I just read?". It's not that great and there's this cr*ppy love triangle between Punisher, Elektra and Deadpool. I'm pretty much dropping this series at the end of the storyline which I think is in 2 issues time so not to long.
